Following their own nature, they imitate what they extract, namely bits of text that they don\u2019t understand at all. Still, the extraction predicts the future, it reveals the crystal ball of divination, the Palantir of Tolkien\u2019s universe, represented here in an \u201cimproved\u201d version, as a naval mine.
