Leviathan
(270x150 cm, oil on canvas, 2017) The painting is in the art collection of the Parliament of Poland. It is part of the project that was awarded the special prize of the jury “Special Triennial Award for Outstanding Artistic Personality” at the Carpathian Triennial “The Silver Square” in 2018

The peaceful sailing of the paper boats on the newspaper ocean is smashed by a sea beast that landed, why not, from the reasonings of Thomas Hobbes. The allegory stands under the sign on an immersion which hypostasizes a power relation, where the naïve aspect of the ludic dimension is pathetically exposed in relation with the rapacious lucidity of the cold eye, that erupts and asks for tribute.
