A heap of windows is cut out of reality, any context being eliminated. Picked up from the context and suspended as a reality in itself, it alludes to its counterpart from the virtual world, the Windows operating system, thus making a reference to McLuhan’s statement “medium is the message”. In this way, some questions are indirectly asked about the need of having windows in the age of digital screens.
