In Wireless we have an allegorical invasion of a flock of sheep into a library, which could also be considered as a dossier archive. The painting proposes a word game, but at the same time a meaning game, which gravitates around the mapping of the gregarious spirit. On one hand, it is explicitly shown that the phonetical uttering of the English “wireless” contains the Romanian word “oaie” [ˈwaje], meaning “sheep”, and suggests a small funny game of detecting “Romglish”. On the other hand, a relationship is implicitly suggested between the social media, which are possible on a large scale by means of the wireless infrastructure, and the telephone game. In this game, the first player whispers a word in the ear of the next player, which he/she shares forward, until the last player tells everybody what he/she understood. The results of the shares in the telephone game are most often hilarious as a result of the discrepancies between the input and the output of the information, and that is, most likely, the very purpose of the game.
